Rêveuse Recipe: Our ACE Vitamin Drink Pomegranate and Orange

Rêveuse Recipe: Our ACE Vitamin Drink Pomegranate and Orange

Whilst travelling around Europe, we've come to notice that A C E  fruit juices are popular boxed juices in supermarkets. As both of us are avid fruit juice drinkers (pretty sure we would own a juice store if we didn't have our day jobs..) we created this recipe which is packed full of nutrients and vitamins but most importantly of the real stuff! This juice is so good and carries more than enough of your 5 a day, and the rainbow colours just looks so fun and delightful. The oranges adding a zesty flavour, undertones of the fragrant celery and the pomegranate giving the juice a delicious sweetness. This juice just reminds us of what we think the ACE juice boxes tastes like but 100 times better! We also decorated the drink with a slice of caramelised orange, making it a great fun touch to a party drink. For us though, we love to feel refreshed, particularly after a heavy and hearty meal so this is the perfect drink in the morning, to have on Boxing Day after a mouth watering Christmas dinner (and to get you ready for the Boxing Day sales!).

4 oranges
1 pomegranate
2 sticks of celery
1 lemon
3 small carrots

for the decoration
slices of orange
1 cup granulated sugar
1 and a 1/2 cup water

SERVES: 4 cups
DURATION: Approx 40 minutes

Cut all the fruits and blitz together. Sieve the juice to remove the pulp and pour into glassware.

For the decorative orange slices, dissolve the sugar in hot water on the hob and lay down the slices of oranges on the bottom of the flat pan. Leave to simmer for 30 minutes whilst flipping over every 10 minutes or so and making sure the sugar doesn't burn. The sugar should start to bubble and turn into a darker shade of honey yellow, before its time to remove and transfer to a baking sheet and allow to cool.

Pierce a toothpick through the orange and place onto your glassware with a scattering of fresh pomegranates for extra decoration.
