Rêveuse Style: Into the Woods

The concept of Into the Woods was born from the idea of the uncertainty for the future and venturing out into the unknown, focusing on the idea of how trends, fashion and businesses will and have adapted to keep up to date with the momentum of the times. As fashion is starting to move towards a digital future to showcase their seasonal collections, this idea of inclusivity is coming to the forefront now more than ever. Just a few years ago, fashion shows and previews were only presented to a selected handful, however, now with the "normal" person having a larger influence in the way pieces are being designed, it's only necessary that we can all get involved and feel inspired by next seasons trends.

Recently we have been indulging in several digital campaigns that have really inspired us in terms of it's creativity. On the tips of everyone's lips has to be the Christian Dior A/W 20-21 short film, which was like swimming into an ethereal fairytale. The film, published on their youtube page and directed by Matteo Garrone, highlighted the collection through a delicate, yet aesthetically intricate and sensual visual. There was something quite mysterious in the storyline, yet equally captivating. Hermes Mens S/S21 was another maison whose work was more realistic in it's presentation, showing an almost day to day life behind the scenes in a Hermes workroom. The cool parisian blase sort of air was captured in the clip and integrated seamlessly into the scenario, along with the background music, and not to mention the wearable outfits with the small details of pleated textured jumpers and subtle contrasting prints that elevated the look.

This wealth of new inspiration that was just a click away from our fingertips allowed us to revisit our style. We opted to go for a light and neutral article of clothing, seeing ways in which we could accessorise to complete the look, whilst also making it comfortable for everyday wear. With the addition of jewellery pieces (kindly gifted by Mejuri) we layered these on top of our existing jewels, which really does make a whole lot of difference when finalising an outfit. Capturing this look within the woodland just a stones throw away, was definitely inspired by the dreamy tones and textures within Diors film, which we think may be on the horizon for next seasons trend. We hope you enjoy these photos and hope that it might also give you some inspiration on how to style some basic pieces in your wardrobe too!
